In June of 2001, we opened a real brick-and-mortar shop, just
down the block from our current location. Our store name, The
Dilly Bean, came about for my love of pickles and the translation
of my maiden name (the bean). After 1 year we were doing so
well we decided to purchase our own building, which has become
a figurehead of the Monroe Downtown Square.
10 years later we're still Monroe's favorite variety store, with everything you don't need... but can't live without! We pride ourselves on good service and a positive and comfortable shopping experience. Our new online stores, along with connectivity through Facebook and Twitter, have helped us push our prospects from local to national with more and more customers experiencing our shop for the first time. Whether a regular customer or a first time visitor - you're always welcome at the Dilly Bean!
